Hurricane Ike On September 13, 2008 Hurricane Ike slammed
into Galveston Island causing great destruction, property damage, injury and
death. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to those who have lost their
property, homes, and loved ones. The BHIA website will post information that may
be of interest to our residents and neighbors regarding this tragic event. If
you have photos, articles, web-links or other information and believe they
would be of interest to assist our community, please send an email billaylor@comcast.net
so that we can create a link for others to be able to access them. Photos of the Storm Damage Amazing Slide Show Pictures of Damage

Houston flyover Sept 15, 2008: Bay view - Bay Harbor (45MB) Bay view - Terramar (44MB) Click on the file
links above and save the file to your computer. Note that these are
large files and so may take 20-30 minutes to download, depending on the speed
of your internet connection. When download is complete open this standard
.avi movie file in Windows Media Player or a similar movie player to view it.
Note that Media Player allows you much flexibility in order to stop, back up
and review the image frames as you wish. If the download times are too large,
I have extracted snapshots from these video files into an album below which
is much faster to view. Still
